Amad Mahbub is a Bangladeshi henna artist, painter, Kathak dancer, and neuroscientist based in Washington DC. Born and raised in Bangladesh, Amad moved to the States 7 years ago to pursue higher education and picked up henna as a way to connect with her homeland. She has deep cultural and spiritual ties to henna and uses her craft to share its healing and enlightening powers with her community.
