Amad Mahbub (she/they) is a Bangladeshi artist, neuroscientist, and dancer based in Washington, D.C., whose creative expression is deeply rooted in cultural and spiritual traditions. Born and raised in Bangladesh, Amad uses henna as a sacred and healing art, honoring the plant ally's ancestral significance while sharing her meditative and transformative power with her community. She has performed and showcased her work at major events across the DMV, including the Kennedy Center, Union Market, and Interfusion Festival.
